HISTORY

Absolutly nothing is known about the origin of this weapon, except that it is a dueling pistol and is marked number 2, probably of a cased set. I spent the better part of an hour trying to research the pistol on the internet without so much as a mention, except from this site. I was told by someone that occsionaly when the owner of the set of pistols was killed in a duel that he was buried with the pistol and the victor kept the other one, don't know how true it is but that's what I heard anyway. As you will be able to see by the photographs it is a beautiful weapon, engraved with gold inlay.
